This appears to be an issue affecting most versions of Safari from about version 5 onwards. Your thoughts? I will go try Firefox next but I'm not changing to Firefox for other reasons so that is somewhat mute. I mean I'm going back to the days where there was an explicit choice for visited link colors in Safari. But at least for me and for my wife, that no longer works and hasn't for quite a long time. In times gone by, the visited links would show in a different, user chosen color. Click on a link or two and use the back button each time to return to that google page.

Would you try that same experiment? Do any google search. So I find it hard to believe there is something wrong on both of our machines but that most others see color change when they do that same experiment. I opened google, chose some generic search, clicked on a couple of the links and each time came back to the google page to find those visited links having NO COLOR CHANGE, just like on my computer. Are you saying that most folks, including yourself, DO have visited links on say a google search page show up as a different color? Meaning there is perhaps something that's gone wrong in my User account as was suggested in part of that long post? But that doesn't make sense because I just went in and started up my wife's newer (than mine) MacBook Pro. I sort of got lost in it before I got to the end. I started reading through that post and it goes on and on and on.
